Senior Manager, Governance, Compliance and Board Secretariat

• Report to the Chief Operating Officer and support the CEO
• Provide board secretariat services and policy advice
• Lead the Governance and Compliance Framework
• Sydney CBD

The Australian Reinsurance Pool Corporation (ARPC) is a public financial corporation established under the Terrorism Insurance Act 2003 to administer the terrorism reinsurance scheme covering commercial property, infrastructure, and related business interruption and public liability claims.

 As Senior Manager, Governance and Compliance and Board Secretariat you will:

  • Lead Secretariat activities for the Board of ARPC and its committees
  • Lead a small team to refine and enhance ARPC's governance and compliance framework and an organisational policy framework, ensuring that contemporary best practice underpins these frameworks
  • Provide advice and guidance on legislative and regulatory changes
  • Lead and participate in a variety of strategic projects.

You will bring deep governance and compliance expertise coupled with energy and passion for the governance and compliance profession. This experience would be gained within an insurance regulated market or government sector. Your skillset will include the provision of comprehensive board secretariat services and the ability to understand and interpret legislation as it relates to organisational impacts. You will rely upon your excellent analytical and communication skills whilst developing strong, collaborative working relationships with board members, executive staff, employees and partners.

You must be an Australian citizen and able to successfully obtain the Australian Government's Baseline Vetting security clearance.

Remuneration range is $136,462 to $156,613 plus 15.4% superannuation.
