Actuarial professionals with expertise in quantitative analysis, insurance pricing, loss reserving, and risk quantification are integral to AIG’s success. We have dedicated finance actuaries that play a critical role in assessing the reserve need and thereby ensuring strong financial condition of AIG’s insurance operating companies around the world. Our portfolio analytics and pricing actuaries focus on directly supporting AIG’s businesses and are responsible for technical pricing, product development analytics, performance monitoring and measurement, as well as assessment of reinsurance needs. This team also works with marketing, operations, and financial management to achieve AIG’s business objectives.

You will work with senior analysts and actuaries to provide actuarial advice to the business functions including profit centers, underwriting, finance and risk management.

Key duties and responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparation of quarterly reserving and solvency estimates for local regulatory reporting and quarterly US GAAP reserving for parent company
  • Assist in preparation of Detailed Valuation Reviews (bi-annual) and annual Insurance Liability Valuation Report (ILVR)
  • Assist in preparation of quarterly board and risk committee reporting
  • Assist in reviewing capital targets and stress testing results
  • Assist in providing advises on investment strategy including asset and liability matching to the appropriate committees and stakeholders
  • Assist in preparation of annual Financial Condition Report
  • Assist in supporting strategic portfolio reviews and deep dive analyses of certain business segments
  • Assist in other ad-hoc analyses as required.

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or other quantitative degrees
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Work well both independently and as part of a team
  • Working knowledge on Microsoft Excel, Works and PowerPoint
  • Effective time management skill
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Successful candidate is also expected to be actively studying for a recognized actuarial qualification.
