Our client is a not-for-profit organisation, and is the state’s peak provider of community recreation and leisure facilities; responsible for the management of community assets valued at over $1.5 billion.

Our client is seeking an experienced Insurance and Claims Administration Officer, must have high level organisation and multitasking abilities you will provide support to the Insurance Manager and Risk Manager.

Your key duties:

Administration:

  • Quarterly updates of public liability (under aggregate) claims data to insurers
  • Quarterly updates of industrial special risks (under aggregate) claim data to insurers
  • Provide public liability and ISR claim management guidance to member associations
  • Maintain claims management database for active claims
  • Produce quarterly reports regarding active public liability claims to member association CEOs
  • Produce quarterly reports regarding active public liability claims to the executive manager, and relevant governance committees
  • Complete end of month invoicing tasks
  • Monitor online incident reports and forward to claims management service as required
  • Assist insurance manager and risk manager to produce reports as required.

Insurance program renewal:

  • Support the insurance renewal process annually and liaise with insurance brokers to provide specific certificates of currency to member associations when requested
  • Update all information, forms, and certificates of currency, policies and resources in the insurance manual for the new insurance year.

Accurately maintain and update:

  • Public liability, industrial special risks and vehicle insurance data
  • Industrial special risks claims and aggregate deductible data
  • Significant incidents and accidents data
  • Travel insurance requests
  • Share-point insurance portal.

Customer service and support to member associations:

  • Provide a high level of customer service when responding to insurance and claims queries via phone, mail, email or in person
  • Ensure all requested insurance changes and addition records are maintained and forwarded to the insurance broker and finance team in a timely manner.

If successful, the conditions of employment are:

  • Satisfactory completion of a working with children check
  • Satisfactory completion of a national police check
