Senior Pricing Analyst

We currently have a number of Senior Pricing Analyst and Pricing Analyst opportunities to join our rapidly growing pricing team. We are seeking candidates with varying levels of actuarial pricing experience to fill these roles.

The opportunity:

  • Assisting in pricing reviews across a number of personal and commercial lines portfolios
  • Taking initiative to recommend changes to existing pricing process
  • Developing analytics, performance monitoring and analysing emerging experience
  • Working closely with a range of internal business stakeholders
  • Aiding pricing actuaries in improving claim or demand models to improve model fit to data
  • Demonstrating ability to apply reasonableness checks and sound judgment to pricing outputs
  • Carrying out technical reviews of pricing models used by other staff, explaining the results clearly and suggesting improvements.

What does success look like?

  • Highly effective communications, both written and verbal, with strong interpersonal skills
  • A tertiary qualification in an analytical/numerate discipline and have completed all Part I and Part II actuarial exams
  • A strong academic record
  • Capable and motivated, with the ability to solve problems
  • General insurance experience preferred (essential for the Senior Analyst roles)
  • Proficiency in SAS and Excel
  • Understanding the link between reserving, pricing and portfolio monitoring.
