Insurance Broker/Account Executive

We have an outstanding opportunity to join a leading insurance brokerage where you can continue to build your impressive brokerage career. 

This is a business that is continuing to grow and you will love coming to work each and every day. You will be working with a portfolio that is largely SME where you will work closely with an adviser team and supported by a claims team and assistant brokers.

Within this role your ability to grow your client base and work with clients across the SME as well as mid-market and corporate style clients will see you recognised and rewarded for your effort. 

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Quality broking advice and service
  • The ability to build strong relationships with new and existing clients and strong working relationships with underwriters
  • Client visits including annual reviews, proposals, etc
  • Check off accuracy of underwriter documentation, invoices and other documentation to be sent to clients
  • Send schedules and underwriter documentation to the client
  • Follow up client payments
  • Work closely with your assistant and assign tasks and develop action plans
  • Renewal process including organise comparison quotes
  • Ensure invoices are checked before forwarding to clients
  • Develop renewal reports
  • Obtain and negotiate terms with underwriters
  • Endorsements
  • Ensure everything is compliant
  • Develop and maintain a relevant network of business contacts
  • Ad hoc administrative tasks

As the ideal candidate, you will possess the following skills/attributes: 

  • Proven experience working as a broker/account executive (ideally three+ years’ experience)
  • Diploma of financial services ideal
  • Tier 1 qualified (insurance broking)
  • The ability to develop new business opportunities and grow your portfolio
  • Strong time management skills
  • Can-do attitude
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivated and a team player
  • Professional presentation
