We currently have an exceptional Sydney CBD based opportunity available for a Senior Actuarial Analyst to join our rapidly growing actuarial team. You will be joining QBE during an exciting period of our evolution. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to make a move into a dynamic role with exposure to the full control cycle of actuarial responsibilities. You will assist QBE in managing a profitable business by providing actuarial support for certain portfolios. You will be responsible for the following: 

  • Undertaking pricing reviews for commercial property, commercial motor and accident portfolios
  • Involvement in the reserving of short tail classes
  • Developing analytics, performance monitoring and analysing emerging experience
  • Answering enquiries from a range of internal business stakeholders 

Your knowledge, experience and skills:

  • A number of years of experience in general insurance
  • Understanding the link between reserving, pricing and portfolio monitoring
  • Ability to communicate complicated concepts in a simple, professional manner
  • The ability to work autonomously and solve problems
  • Completed all of the IAAust Part 1 and Part 2 exams and at least one of the Part 3 exams
  • Proficiency in SAS and Excel
