The Opportunity:

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Product Manager for Professional Liability, based in Sydney.

With responsibility for Professional Liability across both Australia and New Zealand, this role will require delivery on product strategy, profitability, growth and efficiency.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Develop, deliver and drive an effective and profitable product strategy and monitor performance
  • Support the development of the annual business plan
  • Perform complex underwriting activities
  • Establish and maintain product underwriting standards including risk management and risk acceptance criteria
  • Oversee the regulatory compliance for professional liability products
  • Manage production and review of product wordings and related documents
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to distribution and underwriting employees
  • Lead, manage, coach and mentor your team to ensure effective resource allocation, optimal performance, staff development, engagement and retention, and to create an environment to drive and facilitate change

We are looking for someone with proven experience in the insurance industry in the area of underwriting, risk management, and portfolio management. You will be technically strong, with experience in a role where you are influencing key stakeholders both internally and externally at an executive level. Management experience including mentoring and supporting staff will be highly regarded.
